The "Cure" For Sexual Harassment

CAL THOMAS COMMENTARY NOVEMBER 21, 2017

TWO HEADLINES IN YESTERDAY’S WASHINGTON POST ARE INSTRUCTIVE. ONE SAYS: “THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT EPIDEMIC HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED. WHAT’S THE CURE?”

THE SECOND HEADLINE SAID: “LAWSUIT CHALLENGING BIBLE CLASSES DISMISSED. JUDGE FINDS NO REASON TO ACT AFTER SCHOOL DISTRICT IN WEST VIRGINIA SUSPENDS COURSE.”

DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE A CONNECTION BETWEEN A CURE FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND SCRIPTURE?

THE BIBLE CLASSES IN WEST VIRGINIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN TAUGHT AT THE ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVELS FOR DECADES AND ARE POPULAR AMONG STUDENTS AND PARENTS.

BUT TWO – YES, TWO – PEOPLE WITH SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN JOINED THE FREEDOM FROM RELIGION FOUNDATION AND FILED A LAWSUIT CONTENDING THE CONSTITUTION FORBIDS SUCH AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION. THE CONSTITUTION SAYS CONGRESS SHALL NOT ESTABLISHMENT A RELIGION OR PROHIBIT ITS FREE EXERCIZE.

LEARNING THE BIBLE MIGHT HELP ESPECIALLY YOUNG MEN VALUE WOMEN, BUT THE ULTIMATE CURE FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT WON’T BE TAUGHT ANYMORE IN WEST VIRGINIA BECAUSE OF TWO PEOPLE. I’M CAL THOMAS IN WASHINGTON.
