IN ANOTHER SCENE, BOYS FIGHT WITH EACH OTHER AND ARE EVENTUALLY SEPARATED. THEN THERE ARE BOYS WHO LOOK MORE LIKE GIRLS THAN BOYS. DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS FROM THAT ONE.
THERE HAS BEEN AN ASSAULT ON MASCULINITY AND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE MALE SINCE THE 1960S. REMEMBER WHEN FEMINISTS ADVOCATED GIVING GIRLS TRUCKS AND BOYS DOLLS, THINKING THIS WOULD HELP ERADICATE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MALE AND FEMALE? IT DIDN’T.
IT’S ALL PART OF THE SAME EFFORT TO EMASCULATE MEN AND MAKE THEM SUBSERVIANT TO WOMEN. WHERE IN MODERN CULTURE IS THE MAN WHO IS A FAITHFUL AND LOVING HUSBAND, A GOOD FATHER TO HIS CHILDREN AND WHO DISPLAYS INTEGRITY IN ALL HE DOES? ABSENT. INSTEAD WE GET PREDATORY MALES, RAPISTS, ADULTERERS AND WORSE IF THAT’S POSSIBLE ON TV AND IN MOVIES.
AT THE SAME TIME THE FEMINISTS DISPARAGE MEN, MANY COMPLAIN THEY CAN’T FIND MEN WHO WILL COMMIT TO THEM. CAN’T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. I’M CAL THOMAS.
