CAL THOMAS COMMENTARY SEPTEMBER 17, 2019
TWO SUBJECTS DIDN’T COME UP IN THE LAST WEEKS’S DEBATE AMONG DEMOCRAT PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES IN HOUSTON. ONE WAS THE ECONOMY; THE OTHER WAS HOMELESSNES, ESPECIALLY IN LOS ANGELES AND SAN FRANCISCO, WHERE MANY STREETS ARE POLLUTED WITH HUMAN WASTE AND PEOPLE AVOID THE AREAS.
THE ECONOMY WOULD HAVE COME UP IF IT WEREN’T DOING SO WELL UNDER PRESIDENT TRUMP. VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE DEMOCRATS HAVE PROPOSALS THAT WOULD REVERSE THE CURRENT TREND OF HIGHER WAGES, MORE JOBS – ESPECIALLY AMONG MINORITIES, WHICH THE LEFT ALWAYS TALKS ABOUT HELPING, BUT NEVER HAS – AND LOWER TAXES.
THE REASON HOMELESSNESS DIDN’T COME UP IS BECAUSE SAN FRANCISCO AND LOS ANGELES – AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA – ARE RUN BY LIBERAL DEMOCRATS. THE LEFT DOESN’T WANT TO BLAME THEIR OWN FOR HOMELESSNESS AND SQUALOR. THE QUESTIONERS COULD ALSO HAVE BROUGHT UP SOCIAL ISSUES, BUT DIDN’T. THAT’S BECAUSE THEY, LIKE THE CANDIDATES, ARE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS. DON’T BE FOOLED WHEN SOME IN THE MEDIA SPEAK OF ONE OR TWO OF THE CANDIDATES AS “MODERATES.” AMONG DEMOCRATS THERE IS NO SUCH THING. I’M CAL THOMAS.
