         JUST WHEN YOU THINK THAT THINGS CAN’T GET ANY CRAZIER, THEY DO.

         WRITING IN WORLD MAGAZINE, JANIE CHEANEY SAYS ANTI-WESTERN PHILOSOPHY AND HISTORY IS BEING SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED TO BECOME AS PART OF ARITHMETIC LESSONS IN THE SEATTLE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.

         LISTEN TO THIS: “THE REASON FOR THE PROPOSED CHANGES, AS REPORTED BY EDUCATION WEEK, IS ‘TO INFUSE ALL K-12 MATH CLASSES WITH ETHNIC STUDIES QUESTIONS THAT ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO EXPLORE HOW MATH HAS BEEN “APPROPRIATED” BY WESTERN CULTURE AND USED IN SYSTEMS OF POWER AND OPPRESSION.’”

         CHEANEY ADDS, “SEATTLE MAY BE THE FIRST MAJOR SCHOOL DISTRICT TO INFUSE DIVERSITY STUDIES INTO MATH, BUT THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF TEACHERS OF MATHEMATICS APPLAUDS THE MOVE. ‘WHAT SEATTLE IS DOING,’ SAYS ROBERT BERRY, NCTM PRESIDENT, FOLLOWS THE LINE OF WORK WE HOPE WE CAN MOVE FORWARD AS WE THINK ABOUT THE HISTORY OF MATH AND WHO CONTRIBUTES TO THAT, AND ALSO DEEPENING STUDENTS’ CONNECTION WITH IDENTITY AND AGENCY.”

         THIS IS LIBERAL NEWSPEAK AND BASICALLY IMPOSES A SECULAR-PROGRESSIVE WORLDVIEW ON YOUNG MINDS. IF YOUR KIDS ARE IN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS, WHY? I’M CAL THOMAS.
