BIDEN’S SPEECH AND RACE

CAL THOMAS COMMENTARY JUNE 3, 2021

PRESIDENT BIDEN’S SPEECH IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA CONTINUES A NARRATIVE WE’VE HEARD FOR DECADES. LOOK TO THE PAST AND REMIND PEOPLE OF EVIL ACTS COMMITTED BY WHITES, CLAIM THE STAIN OF RACISM CAN NEVER BE ATONED FOR AND ONLY GOVERNMENT CAN IMPROVE BLACK LIVES, THOUGH IF IT COULD, IT WOULD HAVE BY NOW.

WHY NOT FOCUS ON SUCCESSFUL AFRICAN-AMERICANS, USING THEM TO INSPIRE OTHERS? FORMER HUD SECRETARY AND DOCTOR BEN CARSON SAYS THE PATH TO SUCCESS IS NOT DIFFICULT. STAY IN SCHOOL, WORK HARD, GET MARRIED BEFORE YOU HAVE KIDS AND DON’T COMMIT CRIMES.

THAT’S A GOOD MESSAGE FOR EVERYONE.

DEMOCRATS NEVER QUOTE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE FOLLOWED THESE RULES. BIDEN QUOTED AN IRISH POET. THIS FROM, MADAM C.J. WALKER, A 19TH CENTURY AFRICAN-AMERICAN ENTREPRENEUR: “I HAD TO MAKE MY OWN WAY AND MY OWN OPPORTUNITY. BUT I MADE IT. DON’T SIT DOWN AND WAIT FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO COME. GET UP AND MAKE THEM.”

DEMOCRATS THINK CONDESCENDING TO AFRICAN-AMERICANS WILL KEEP THEM VOTING FOR THEIR CANDIDATES. IT IS CYNICAL AND A TYPE OF RACISM. I’M CAL THOMAS
