    THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION HAS ANNOUNCED THAT TRENDS IN MATH AND READING SCORES DURING THE PANDEMIC ARE THE WORST IN DECADES FOR STUDENTS IN FOURTH GRADE. THAT IS A CRUCIAL INDICATOR FOR THE TRAJECTORY IN THESE SUBJECTS.

    THIS IS THE LEGACY OF DR. FAUCI AND OTHER GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRATS WHO DEMANDED THAT SCHOOLS BE CLOSED, EVEN THOUGH CHILDREN HAD THE STRONGEST IMMUNE SYSTEMS.

    I’LL BET CHILDREN WHO WERE HOME SCHOOLED OR ATTENDED CHRISTIAN OR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS THAT REMAINED OPEN PERFORMED BETTER IN MATH AND READING.

    CLOSED SCHOOLS IS ONE OF MANY REASONS, ALONG WITH HIGH TAXES AND CRIME, THAT PARENTS WHO CAN AFFORD IT HAVE BEEN MOVING TO OTHER STATES. UNFORTUNATELY, THE POOR ARE STUCK AND DEMOCRATS WON’T LET THEM ESCAPE THEIR FAILING SCHOOLS AND FAILING CITIES, VIRTUALLY ALL RUN BY DEMOCRATS.

    WHY EXPECT DIFFERENT OUTCOMES IF VOTERS KEEP VOTING FOR THE SAME PEOPLE? IF YOU DON’T LIKE YOUR SCHOOLS, GET YOUR KIDS OUT, OR AT A MINIMUM REPLACE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS WHO ARE BAD WITH THOSE WHO ARE GOOD. VOTERS HAVE MORE POWER THAN THE POLITICIANS. USE IT OR EXPECT MORE OF THE SAME. DEPRIVING KIDS OF A GOOD EDUCATION KILLS THEIR FUTURE. I’M CAL THOMAS.

The Education Department’s first look at test-score trends since the pandemic began reveals the worst drop in math and reading scores in decades for students in fourth grade, a crucial indicator for educational and economic trajectory.

Scores released Thursday show unprecedented drops on the long-term trends tests that are part of the National Assessment of Educational Progress, known as the “Nation’s Report Card.” The tests are administered to U.S. students age 9.
