CAL THOMAS COMMENTARY OCTOBER 5, 2022
PRESIDENT BIDEN AND THE FIRST LADY VISITED PUERTO RICO MONDAY. THEY MET WITH FAMILIES IMPACTED BY HURRICAN IAN. BIDEN PROMISED $60 BILLION IN RELIEF. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THE FRAUD THAT SIPHONED OFF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS INTO THE POCKETS OF CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND OTHERS THE LAST TIME PUERTO RICO WAS SENT RELIEF AID.
THE PRESIDENT, WHO IS ALWAYS TRYING TO IDENTIFY WITH A RACIAL OR ETHNIC GROUP TO WIN VOTES, CLAIMED HIS HOME STATE OF DELAWARE HAD A “VERY, IN RELATIVE TERMS, LARGE” PUERTO RICAN COMMUNITY. “I WAS SORT OF RAISED IN THE PUERTO RICAN COMMUNITY AT HOME POLITICALLY,” HE SAID.
THERE IS NO RECORD OF THAT.
BIDEN’S COMMENT BROUGHT A REACTION FROM DR. MARIELA ROCA, A MARYLAND REPUBLICAN RUNNING FOR CONGRESS. ROCA, WHO WAS BORN IN PUERTO RICO, SAID, “WHY IS THE LEFT SO THIRSTY FOR THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY?” ROCA TWEETED COMMENTS BY JILL BIDEN, WHO SAID, “HISPANICS ARE LIKE TACOS” AND NANCY PELOSI, “DON’T SEND IMMIGRANTS UP NORTH, WE NEED CROP PICKERS IN THE SOUTH.” NOT TO MENTION GRAPE PICKERS IN HER NAPA VALLEY VINEYARDS.
BIDEN’S COMMENTS ARE PANDERING AT ITS WORST. I’M CAL THOMAS.
