JOIN THE NAVY?

    THE SLOGAN USED TO BE “JOIN THE NAVY AND SEE THE WORLD.” NOW IT APPEARS THIS SEA GOING BRANCH OF OUR MILITARY WILL HAVE TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW TO REFLECT THE DECLINE IN OUR CULTURE.

    SINCE RECRUITMENTS ARE DOWN ACROSS THE MILITARY – ARGUABLY IN PART BECAUSE OF WOKE POLICIES – THE NAVY HAS DECIDED TO TURN TO A DRAG PERFORMER TO REACH YOUNGER RECRUITS ON DIGITAL PLATFORMS AND SOCIAL MEDIA.

    YEOMAN SECOND CLASS JOSHUA KELLEY, WHOSE STAGE NAME IS “HARPY DANIELS,” ANNOUNCED ON TIKTOK HE WOULD BE THE NAVY’S FIRST DIGITAL AMBASSADOR AND “AN ADVOCATE FOR THOSE WHO WERE OPPRESSED FOR YEARS IN THE SERVICE.” KELLEY DEFINES HIMSELF AS NON-BINARY AND IS ONE OF FIVE ACTIVE SAILORS WHO ARE PARTICIPATING AS DIGITAL AMBASSADORS TO REACH A WIDE RANGE OF POTENTIAL CANDIDATES, ACCORDING TO THE DAILY CALLER.

    IS THIS CAMPAIGN GOING TO ATTRACT MORE PEOPLE TO SIGN-UP FOR THE NAVY THAN REPEL NEW RECRUITS. ISN’T THIS THE KIND OF POLICY THAT HAS MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE MILITARY TO ATTRACT NEW VOLUNTEERS?

    ARE CHINA, RUSSIA AND IRAN FOCUSED ON DRAG PERFORMERS AS THEY THREATEN U.S. INTERESTS? WILL THIS POLICY CONTRIBUTE TO READINESS AND UNIT COHESION? I’D CALL IT THE DISNEYFICATION OF THE NAVY. I’M CAL THOMAS.
