    IN RECENT DAYS WE HAVE SEEN THREE GREAT MEN OF GOD TAKEN FROM THIS WORLD TO MEET THE SAVIOR THEY LOVED AND FAITHFULLY SERVED.

    ONE WAS DR. CHARLES STANLEY. I ONCE HEARD HIM PREACH IN PERSON. HE SPOKE FOR AN HOUR AND NO ONE LOOKED AT THEIR WATCH. HIS TV MINISTRY REACHED MILLIONS AROUND THE WORLD.

    FIVE DAYS AGO, DR. HARRY REEDER OF BRIARWOOD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN BIRMINGHAM DIED IN A CAR CRASH. THOUGH NOT AS WELL KNOWN AS DR. STANLEY, PEOPLE WHO KNEW HIM SAID HE HAD A GREAT AND POSITIVE INCLUNCE ON HIS CONGREGATION AND PCA DENOMINATION.

    THEN THERE WAS TIMOTHY KELLER WHO DIED LAST WEEK AFTER A BATTLE WITH PANCREATIC CANCER. I HEARD HIM PREACH ONCE AT REDEEMER CHURCH IN NEW YORK. IT WAS A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE AND ONE OF THE BEST I’VE EVER HEARD. HE ATTRACTED YOUNG PEOPLE, LAWYERS, THE CYNICAL AND DOUBTERS. HIS WRITINGS WERE POWERFUL AND COMPELLING. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ ‘THE REASON FOR GOD,” YOU SHOULD GET A COPY AND SHARE WITH AN UNBELIEVER.

    DR. KELLER’S REPORTED LAST WORDS TO HIS WIFE, KATHY, WERE: “THERE IS NO DOWNSIDE TO LEAVING THIS PLACE.”

    TIM WAS A PREACHER TO THE END…OR MORE ACCURATELY THE BEGINNING OF IN-PERSON RELATIONSHIOP WITH JESUS. I’M CAL THOMAS.

    Mr. Thomas, my wife and I met you at cherry hills church in Highlands Ranch CO. My Mother read your column faithfully for decades until she passed in 2011. We are from North Dakota originally, but lived in Denver for 20 years and recently moved to Sioux Falls SD (The Lord mercifully allowed us to leave “Egypt” to move here.. Pot, homosexuality and abortion (now infanticide) and the related mentality destroyed the culture relationally and spiritually there.. It has become very hateful, self centered and mean spirited in general. SD has its problems but comparatively speaking it is a treat to live here in SD.
    I heard the tail end of one of your programs a while back and you were recommending a great book on the Global warming fraud but I can’t remember the name of it. It was a year or two ago at least. Could you please let me know what it is? I am mentoring a young Civil Engineer that came from a farm family here in SD and has been duped into thinking Carbon Dioxide is a “problem,etc.” and Regenerative Farming is the answer, etc. (BTW is Bill Gates involved in RF….it seems to smell of him if you know what I mean. The Left always, as you know sounds really good sometimes up front but is always deceitful as hell on the backside.. BTW We are struggling against this Damned Carbon pipeline trying to come through SD and neighboring states. Please do a column on that if you would. Pumping CO2 from ethanol plants into a hole into otherwise good farmland and storing it in the earth with a multi billion dollar (subsidized!!!) pipeline seems about as cost effective and wise as planting an open air experimental vegetable garden on the surface of the moon… That’s probably next though…Anyway would love to hear you take on it…
    Also if you know of a station that has your radio column up here we would love to know about!
