TOMORROW FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP IS SCHEDULED TO ENTER A FEDERAL COURTHOUSE IN MIAMI TO BE ARRAIGNED ON SEVEN FELONY CHARGES HAVING TO DO WITH MISHANDLING OF CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS, LYING TO AUTHORITIES AND POSSIBLY OTHER CHARGES.
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU SUPPORT OR OPPOSE TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT AGAIN, THIS LOOKS TO ME LIKE A POLITICAL HIT JOB. THERE IS NO EQUAL JUSTICE IN AMERICA ANYMORE. JOE BIDEN HAS MISHANDLED CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS. SO DID HILLARY CLINTON. THEN-FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY SAID SHE DIDN’T INTEND TO BREAK THE LAW. INTENTIONS DON’T MATTER. LAW MATTERS, BUT NOT TO THE FAVORED FEW.
FOX NEWS DIGITAL REPORTS A SOURCE HAS TOLD THE FBI THAT WHILE BIDEN WAS VICE PRESIDENT, HE ALLEGEDLY TOOK A $5 MILLION BRIBE FROM THE BURISMA NATURAL GAS FIRM WHERE SON HUNTER WAS ON THE BOARD IN EXCHANGE FOR CERTAIN U.S. POLICY DECISIONS.
THE INDICTMENT OF A FORMER PRESIDENT IS SURE TO DIVIDE THE COUNTRY EVEN MORE. MANY THINGS CAN HAPPEN BEFORE A TRAIL, INCLUDING THE DISMISSAL OF CHARGES. IF CONVICTED, APPEALS COULD LAST PAST THE NEXT ELECTION AND TRUMP MIGHT PARDON HIMSELF. THE OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES ARE UNLIKELY TO GET MUCH ATTENTION WHILE THIS TERRIBLE SCENARIO PLAYS OUT. You need to write an article similar to what you wrote after the New York indictment that while politics might be a factor, Trump’s character is the reason we are here. You need to stop describing Trump as “caustic” or “corrosive” and describe him as “criminal”. He is a man who has zero sense of accountability to any authority, either biblical or constitutional. After that, follow up with a plug for Tim Scott as someone with a positive vision. The only way we can get someone besides Trump is to resolutely confront what you correctly descrbed as a bargain with the devil and then unite around a positive. Otherwise you might as well resign yourself to a choice between our party’s devil and the other party’s devil.
I am not a Biden fan by any stretch of the imagination. If I could vote for Tim Scott I would do so at the drop of a hat if the Trumpolaters would stop blocking me. However one difference between any criminality of the Biden family and Trump is that in 2017 Biden helped certify Trump’s election whereas in 2021 Trump called his followers to come to Washington and be “wild”, resulting in what you conceded was an insurrection.
