JAMIE FOXX AND JEWS

CAL THOMAS COMMENTARY AUGUST 8, 2023

    ACTOR JAMIE FOXX HAS APOLOGIZED FOR HIS POST ON INSTAGRAM WHICH SAID, “THEY KILLED THIS DUDE NAMED JESUS…WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY WILL DO TO YOU?” FOXX DELETED THE POST AFTER HE WAS ACCUSED OF ANTISEMITISM.

    THE WEBSITE “A WIDER FAME,” WHICH FOCUSES ON JEWISH ISSUES, DESCRIBED FOXX’S POST AS A “HORRIFICALLY ANTISEMETIC MESSAGE” TO HIS 16.7 MILLION FOLLOWERS.

    THESE KINDS OF STATEMENTS ARE NOTHING NEW, BUT PEOPLE NEED TO REMINDED THAT JESUS CAME TO EARTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF TAKING ON THE SINS OF THE WORLD AND DYING IN OUR PLACE – PAYING OUR PENALTY FOR THOSE SINS. HE POWERFULLY STATED “NO ONE TAKES MY LIFE FROM ME. I HAVE THE POWER TO LAY IT DOWN AND THE POWER TO TAKE IT UP AGAIN.”

    WHO ELSE HAS – OR COULD – SAY SUCH A THING AND PROVE IT?

    DID THE JEWISH LEADERS OF THE DAY CONSPIRE TO HAVE JESUS KILLED? YES, BUT THE ROMANS CRUCIFIED HIM. WITHOUT HIS DEATH AND RESURECTION WE WOULD STILL BE DEAD IN OUR SINS.

    JAMIE FOXX CLEARLY DOESN’T UNDERSTAND THIS. LIKE RACISM, ANTISEMITISM IS A SIN. I DOUBT FOXX WOULD BE OK WITH SOMEONE SLANDERING BLACK PEOPLE. GOD LOVED – AND STILL LOVES – THE JEWISH PEOPLE LONG BEFORE THE GENTILES WERE GRAFTED IN. I’M CAL THOMAS.

    Amen! It is worth noting that all the 12 apostles were Jews. Also for a long time Christianity was regarded as a branch of Judaism. It is also worth noting that Martin Luther had nothing against Jews racially. If they would accept Jesus they were welcome, Felix Mendelssohn a prominent example.

    Awesome comment!!! Yahshua himself was Jewish, as well as most of his followers until Paul, the apostle. His cousin John (the Baptist) baptised in Jerusalem [ Mark 1:4 “John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. [5] And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.} The religion of the Messiah is totally Jewish. {Matt 5:19 – “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.}
