THE FIRST RULE FOR JUDGING A SPEECH OR ANY REMARK BY PRESIDENT BIDEN IS THIS: DID HE GET THROUGH IT? HIS SPEECH TO THE NATION LAST THURSDAY NIGHT MET THAT STANDARD BUT NOT MUCH ELSE.
BETWEEN COUGHS, HE APPEARED TO READ INSTRUCTIONS ON HIS TELEPROMPTER, JUST LIKE THE CHARACTER RON BURGIUNDY IN THE FILM “ANCHORMAN.”
THERE WAS NOTHING ABOUT IRAN OR AMERICAN HOSTAGES. NOTHING ABOUT THE UNINFORCED SANCTIONS AGAINST IRAN WHICH IS SELLING OIL TO CHINA AND REAPING BILLIONS WHICH IT CERTAINLY IS USING TO FUND ITS TERRORIST OBJECTIVES.
YES, SEND MORE MONEY WE DON’T HAVE TO ISRAEL AND UKRAINE, IF THE HOUSE CAN EVER FIND A SPEAKER.
HE MENTIONED ISLAMOPHOBIA AND HOW PALESTINIAN-AMERICANS ARE AMERICANS. YOU WOULDN’T THINK SO LISTENING TO CONGRESSWOMAN RASHIDA TALIB AND HER FELLOW “SQUAD” MEMBERS. HE MENTIONED ANTISEMITISM BUT THE TWO ARE N0T EQUAL. NO ISRAEL OFFICIAL IS CALLING FOR GENOCIDE AND THE ERADICATION OF A SOVERIGN STATE.
THE PRESIDENT PROJECTED WEAKNESS, BECAUSE HS IS WEAK. AND THAT MESSAGE IS GETTING THROUGH TO OUR EVIL OPPONENTS. FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP IS RIGHT WHEN HE SAYS THINGS WERE FAR DIFFERENT ON HIS WATCH. I’M CAL THOMAS

What about Trump’s recent criticism of Netanyahu, for which he received massive pushback from other Republicans? Wasn’t criticism of Israel the unpardonable sin in your book? What about Lindsey Graham and Brit Hume praising Biden? While you have written some good articles on Trump, this is a disappointment, to say the least.
Ultimately you need take to heart your own words about the evangelical embrace of Trump as a Faustian bargain. You also need to remember the frequent warnings from Isaiah and Jeremiah about seeking help from Egypt, given Trump’s character flaws. I think about a preacher who said in 2016 that while Hillary might persecute the church from without, Trump would corrupt the church from within. Remember the question posed by Elijah “how long will you halt between two opinions”?
IIt is not mutuallu exclusive to note some of the good things Trump did while opposing his re-election. Thanks for writing.
