DOES WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST REMIND YOU OF ANYTHING? IT REMINDS ME OF A PREVIEW OF THE END OF THE AGE.
WHEN ASKED ABOUT THIS, MATTHEW RECORDED JESUS AS SAYING: ““You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
PONDER THOSE WORDS AS YOU WATCH THEM STARTING TO COME TRUE. I’M CAL THOMAS
You could have mentioned the verse in that chapter about false prophets and false christs arising and leading many astray. Could Donald Trump be a false christ? Certainly he shows zero sense of accountability to any authority outside of himself, whether biblical or constitutional (2 Thessalonians 2). He also has a legion of followers who will follow him regardless of whether he shoots someone on 5th Avenue, giving uncritical devotion to a human being that belongs only to God Almighty, which is idolatry. Such idolatry caused them to not love the truth (2 Thessalonians 2) but demand a lie resulting in a $787m defamation settlement. Formerly Christians were regarded as the voice of sanity even if worldlings sometimes objected to our vision that way. Now professed Christians are leading the way in promoting a false christ who is the polar opposite of the true Christ.
