PRIVATISE TSA AND CUT LINES

     IT SHOULD BE A GIVEN THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOES FEW THINGS WELL…EXCEPT SPEND MONEY AND GROW THE DEBT. THE LONG LINES AT SOME U.S. AIRPORTS OFFER MORE PROOF OF THAT AS CONGRESS IS DEADLOCKED OVER PAYING TSA AGENTS.

     SOME AIRPORTS DO NOT HAVE LONG LINES. WONDER WHY? IT’S BECAUSE THEIR SECURITY IS RUN BY PRIVATE COMPANIES USING FEDERAL STANDARDS. AT LEAST 20 AIRPORTS PARTICIPATE IN TSA’S SCREENING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM, WHICH WAS FOUNDED IN 2004 AND ALLOWS PRIVATE COMPANIES TO CONDUCT SCREENINGS UNDER TSA OVERSIGHT.

     THIS IS SUCH A NO BRAINER ONE WONDERS WHY IT HASN’T BEEN IMPLEMENTED AT MAJOR AIRPORTS, LIKE HOUSTON AND ATLANTA, WHERE LONG LINES CAUSE PASSENGERS TO WAIT FOUR HOURS OR MORE TO GET THROUGH SCREENING.

     THE ANSWER IS BECAUSE IT’S THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND UNIONS. GOVERNMENT HATES GIVING UP POWER AND SO DO UNIONS. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WAS NOT CREATED TO DO WHAT IT IS NOW DOING SO POORLY. PUT AIRPORT SECURITY IN PRIVATE HANDS AND THE LINES WILL VIRTUALLY DISAPPEAR.
