DRILLING AND AIR MARSHALLS

CAL THOMNAS COMMENTARY NOVEMBER 30, 2022

THE POLICIES COMING FROM THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION SEEM COUNTERPRODUCTIVE AND CONFUSING.

THE PRESIDENT IS ALLOWING CHEVRON TO DRILL FOR OIL, BUT NOT IN THIS COUNTRY. RATHER IN VENZUELA, A COUNTRY RULED BY A DICTATOR NAMED NICOLAS MADURO. THIS AFTER BIDEN PLEDGED NO MORE DRILLING. THE WHITE HOUSE CLAIMS THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF UNUSED DRILLING PERMITS BUT THAT AMERICAN OIL COMPANIES WON’T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM. THAT’S BECAUSE OF ALL THE BUREAUCRATIC RED TAPE AND THE LENGTH OF TIME IT TAKES TO EXPLORE NEW SOURCES OF OIL, WHICH SOMETIMES END UP AS DRY HOLES.

THE OIL PROBLEM WAS FIXED UNDER THE PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION. REMEBER LOWER GAS PRICES?

THE ADMINISTRATION IS ALSO DIVERTING AIR MASRHALLS TO THE SOUTHERN BORDER, PUTTING AIR TRAVELERS AT RISK OF MORE TERRORISM. THE ADMINISTRATION CLAIMS THE BORDER IS SECURE, SO WHY SEND AIR MARSHALLS THERE? IT ISN’T SECURE AND AIR TRAVEL WILL BE LESS SECURE WITH FEWER AIR MARSHALLS ON PLANES.

IT’S ALL PART OF A SERIES OF DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN POLICY DECISIONS BASED ON IDEOLOGY AND NOT COMMON SENSE. DO WE WANT FOUR MORE YEARS OF THIS? I’M CAL THOMAS.
