TO PROBABLY NO ONE’S SURPRISE THE SENATE HAS PASSED A BILL TO NORMALIZE AND PROTECT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE. THEY THREW IN MARRIAGE BETWEEN RACES TO MAKE IT SOUND MORE LEGITIMATE. ALSO TO NO ONE’S SURPRISE A NUMBER OF REPUBLICANS, INCLUDING MITT ROMNEY, WHOSE MORMON CHURCH RECENTLY REVERSED ITS OPPOSITION TO SAME-SEX MARRIAGE, VOTED FOR THE BILL. THE HOUSE WILL LIKELY PASS THE MEASURE AND PRESIDENT BIDEN WILL SIGN IT.
WHAT’S NEXT? POLYGAMY, OF COURSE. THEY ARE RE-LABELING IT “POLYAMOROUS.”
CHRISTIANS SHOULD NOT DESPAIR. THIS IS THE WAY OF THE WORLD. AS PAUL WRITES IN SECOND TIMOTHY CHAPTER 4: “FOR THE TIME WILL COME WHEN PEOPLE WILL NOT PUT UP WITH SOUND DOCTRINE. INSTEAD, TO SUIT THEIR OWN DESIRES, THEY WILL GATHER AROUND THEM A GREAT NUMBER OF TEACHERS TO SAY WHAT THEIR ITCHING EARS WANT TO HEAR. THEY WILL TURN THEIR EARS AWAY FROM THE TRUTH AND TURN ASIDE TO MYTHS.”
AND THEN THERE IS THIS, REPEATED IN THE BOOK OF JUDGES: “IN THOSE DAYS ISRAEL HAD NO KING. EVERYONE DID WHAT SEEMED RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES.” SUBSTITUTE AMERICA FOR ISRAEL AND IT MEANS THE SAME.
AMERICAN INSTITUTIONS ARE IMPOSING ON OUR NATION WHAT GOD CALLS ABOMINATIONS. WHAT WILL WE DO IF HE ABANDONS US AS HE ABANDONED ANCIENT ISRAEL? I’M CAL THOMAS.
Hi Cal – I’m saying hi but obviously you’re far too busy to read all these replies. However I’ll put in my tuppence worth. I love the segments you do on a certain radio show in Ireland – God bless your patience is all I’ll say, in regards to what you have to listen to from the other two. Anyhow, my comment in regards to this comment from you is that it’s not very kind. I’m a heterosexual Christian male and father of a 5 yr old daughter who has changed my life. With regard to the homosexuals – it came to me one day that I’m lucky to be born in a world where my sexual preference is the norm in society. However, if you’ll indulge in a little science fiction, if I woke up in the morning where homosexuality is the norm and heterosexuality the “abomination” (as you called it) it still could not make me be attracted to another man. Or could not make me fit into that world where me not being attracted to a man is deemed odd or perverted. It might be a well worn phrase but it holds true-“it’s just the way they were born”. Beyond that, this world is going to be a lesser place when you’re gone Cal. Your integrity is a dying trait in a world that seems to be on an expressway to a lousy dénouement.
