YES TO IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY OF BIDEN

CAL THOMAS COMMENTARY AUGUST 29, 2023

UNLIKE THE PHONEY IMPEACHMENTS OF FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP, HOUSE SPEAKER KEVIN MCCARTHY HAS LEGITIMATE REASONS TO BEGIN AN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY OF PRESIDENT BIDEN AND HIS FAMILY.

COUNT THE POSSIBILITIES: A QUID PRO QUO THAT GOT A UKRANIAN PROSECUTOR FIRED IN EXCHANGE FOR ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN AID; THE 20 LLC’S ESTABLISHED BY SOMEONE SO FOREIGN CASH IT APPEARS COULD BE LAUNDERED FOR THE ALLEGED BENEFIT OF BIDEN, SON HUNTER AND OTHER RELATIVES; AN OPEN BORDER BIDEN REFUSES TO CLOSE FOR WHATEVER REASON, BUT I’M BETTING IT’S TO CREATE MORE VOTES FOR DEMOCRATS. WE’RE ALREADY HEARING ABOUT PLANS TO ALLOW THE ILLEGALS TO GET WORK PERMITS WHICH WOULD ALLOW THEM TO VOTE IN MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. YOU KNOW THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO GET THEM TO VOTE IN FEDERAL ELECTIONS AND CREATE A PERMANENT DEMOCRAT CLASS.

BIDEN LIES. LYING IN ITSELF IS NOT A REASON FOR IMPEACHMENT, OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE NO POLITICIAINS, BUT IT CAN – AND APPARENTLY HAS – LED TO OTHER THINGS THAT ARE ILLEGAL.

THE LIKLIHOOD OF A CONVICTION IN THE SENATE IF BIDEN IS IMPEACHED IS PRACTICALLY NIL SINCE DEMOCRATS CONTROL THAT BODY, BUT THE HOUSE SHOULD MOVE AHEAD. I’M CAL THOMAS.

Phoney impeachments of Trump? Unlike previous impeachments of Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton which were carried out exclusively by the opposing party (both failing because of an inability to hold their own ranks together), both Trump impeachments pulled in at least one person from the president’s party from both chambers (Justin Amash had been a Republican before breaking with Trump). Much as I disagree with Biden on open borders and LGBTQ, I question the wisdom of trying to impeach him. What if such a vote fails because some House Republicans don’t want to go there? Ideally we should take a cue from Jim Himes D-CT who said both parties should go after their own malefactors with equal vigor.
